Oxygen Consortium

An alliance for social resilience

International initiative supporting well-being, safe working conditions, and systemic change for people engaged in social issues and human rights.

About the initiative

Oxygen Consortium is an international alliance of organizations established in 2023 by the Culture Shock Foundation with the support of Araminta (formerly Magda Adamowicz) and funding from the Open Society Foundation. The consortium brings together international donor organizations working jointly to build resilient communities and create safe working conditions for those engaged in social issues and human rights.

Our mission is to strengthen leadership, promote a culture of care, and implement safety mechanisms that protect activists from burnout, financial crises, and physical threats. We support both individuals and social organizations in Europe and beyond, building networks of solidarity and providing psychological, mentoring, and organizational assistance.

We strive for systemic change that will make civil society more sustainable, safe, and resilient.

Activities

  • we connect organizations from various sectors and countries through long-term partnerships,
  • we support social leaders in fostering a healthy work culture,
