Mokuteki 目的

Coaching program for individuals supporting civil society

Mokuteki is a response to the needs of leaders of humanitarian, aid, and human rights organizations. A group of specialists who have completed our training program provides support to them during individual coaching sessions.

About the initiative

Mokuteki (目的, Japanese for “purpose”). The heart of it is our original training program for those who are willing to provide support to leaders of human rights organizations in Ukraine. Participants of our training sessions learn how to use coaching methods and knowledge about burnout, stress, trauma, and organizational management.

We have devised our training program based on methods and tools developed over many years by the Culture Shock Foundation together with Magda Adamowicz from the Araminta collective.

Our trainees work with Ukrainian leaders during individual coaching sessions, providing them with the right conditions for regeneration and self-development.

Key focus areas include:

  • burnout prevention,
  • stress management and building emotional resilience,
  • people and organizational management.
