The Burnout Aid portal was launched in 2020 by the Culture Shock Foundation with Erasmus+ funding. In the following years, we developed it further, adding new resources created with the support of the Norway Grants and other international grant programmes. In 2023, we received a grant from the Open Society Foundations (OSF), which enabled us to modernise the portal. This included improving accessibility in line with WCAG 2.1/2.2 standards, making it friendlier for neurodiverse users, strengthening security, and creating a Knowledge Zone with a dedicated search engine.
Today, we independently host and maintain the portal, regularly updating it with new content. We want it to keep serving people from NGOs and cultural institutions who face professional or activist burnout.
Your support helps us continue our mission: to create space for open conversations about burnout and to build practical tools for individuals, teams, organisations, and institutions.
